We are pleased to announce that Roujin Mozaffarimehr has become a Partner of ImmiCore Law. Roujin joined the ImmiCore Law team in November 2016 and manages our firm’s non-immigrant visa program. She currently serves as Chair of American Immigration Lawyers Associations (AILA) Santa Clara Valley Chapter and as a member of AILA’s Business Immigration Rapid Response Team (BIRT), a national AILA business immigration task force. She is a leader in the community for immigration advocacy, legal initiatives, and community events. We are excited for her to join us in this new role.
ImmiCore Law Attorney Roujin Mozaffarimehr sworn in as AILA Santa Clara Valley Chapter Chair for 2020-2021 Year!
On May 14, 2020 the American Immigration Lawyers Association Santa Clara Valley Chapter (AILA SCV) hosted its annual installation event, during which the new Executive Board was virtually sworn in and installed. ImmiCore Law Attorney Roujin Mozaffarimehr was sworn in as this year’s Chapter Chair. She has been an active member of AILA, serving committee and executive positions since 2017. Just before the COVID-19 pandemic, she represented the chapter at AILA’s annual National Day of Action (NDA) in Washington D.C., at which she met with local leaders including Representative Ro Khanna and the offices of Representatives Anna Eshoo and Zoe Lofgren and Senator Diane Feinstein to advocate for immigration reform.
AILA is the national bar association of more than 15,000 attorneys and law professors who practice, research, and teach immigration law. AILA’s mission is to promote justice, advocate for fair and reasonable immigration law and policy, advance the quality of immigration and nationality law and practice, and enhance the professional development of its members.

ImmiCore Law Founder Kalpana Peddibhotla Honored With Pro Bono Attorney of the Year Award from Tahirih Justice Center for 2018
Kalpana Peddibhotla received the Tahirih Justice Center’s Pro Bono Attorney of the Year award at its inaugural San Francisco Bay Area gala on March 8, 2018. 
The Tahirih Justice Center is a national advocacy organization for immigrant women and girls who are victims of violence. Peddibhotla has offered pro bono services to the organization on a number of immigration cases.
“The courageous clients that Kalpana serves have often suffered horrendous abuse. Kalpana treats each case and individual with respect. Because of her hard work, these clients are able to receive the protection they so richly deserve,” said Morgan Weibel, executive director of Tahirih Justice Center’s San Francisco Bay Area chapter.
“I am honored and humbled to receive this award from the Tahirih Justice Center,” said Peddibhotla. “These are troubled times for immigrants. We need fierce advocates to ensure that justice is fairly meted out to everyone for whom America is home.”
Kalpana Peddibhotla helps to lead Naturalization Clinics Across the U.S.
On May 19th, 2018 more than 300 immigrants across the nation received guidance from volunteer attorneys on the process of becoming a U.S. citizen.
The South Asian Bar Association (SABA) — anchored by its national immigration panel co-chairs Kalpana Peddibhotla, co-founder of the Mathews & 
Peddibhotla Law Group, and Tejas Shah, who leads Franczek Radelet’s immigration practice — organized naturalization clinics through SABA’s local chapters in Greater Boston, Chicago, Washington DC, Florida, Northern California and Southern California. More than 100 volunteer attorneys and community members assisted with the clinics.
Nationally, 200 people completed their naturalization applications and another 100 were able to get more information on the process, eligibility, and reasons to become a U.S. citizen.
In Northern California, clinics were held at three locations with over 125 people receiving legal assistance.
“Citizenship is the path to the fullest involvement in American life. Once naturalized, a person is able to vote, freely travel, protect themselves and family members from the risk of deportation, hold a wider range of jobs, petition to unite with other family members, and run for public office,” notes SABA North America President Rishi Bagga.
ImmiCore Law Attorneys support the Muslim Community Association (MCA) Legal Clinics
The Muslim Community Association (MCA) runs a free weekend legal clinic in collaboration with the Pro Bono Project of Silicon Valley’s “Lawyers in the Library” program. ImmiCore Law attorneys have volunteered at this clinic and Ameer and Roujin also participated in Know Your Rights programs and a Naturalization Drive at the MCA in 2017
ImmiCore Law Attorneys support the Jewish Family Services (JFS) Legal Clinics
The Jewish Family Services runs a free naturalization clinic for refugees and asylees in partnership with the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA). ImmiCore Law attorneys have volunteered at various JCC naturalization clinics.
